So much has happened since my last post, but until my other computer is up & running, pictures are going to have to wait.
1st off, we have been so busy with baseball all stars this past month. Tyson is on the South Chiefs all star team, which includes him and another boy from Magrath, 3 boys from Pitcher Butte and the rest are from Raymond. They are in a tournament this weekend in Calgary (& hopefully this will be the end of baseball for the summer!! ) Having baseball games of practice to drive to almost every day during the week is getting pretty old!!
This last weekend was Magrath Days. That is always alot of fun! Tyson was in the parade on the Magrath baseball float, he was walking beside handing out flyers and also throwing candy. The kids had a blast at Grandma & Grandpa Bourne's house playing on the big water slide/pool. They were on there for hours playing in the water. Brent played baseball with the alumni team later on that night and then we ended up having a bon fire with the kids before heading over to the fireworks. It was a great day seeing friends and family.
Also right now in Magrath there is a contest of sorts going on. Its called Small Town Hero's and its put on by Paul Brandt and UFA. Our local hero is Terry Trainer, good friends of ours. He is battling cancer right now and has a wife and 4 children at home. He is either in 1st or 2nd place all the time it changes depending on the votes and we are trying hard to win this for their family! The 2 top winners will get a Paul Brandt concert in their town and $2500. If you want to place your vote for Terry, please visit THIS LINK .
