Last night at about 8:45pm Kylie & I set out to drive into Lethbridge. I have been crazed lately to start getting our food storage built up so I thought Dollar Days at Sobey's would be a good start. I got everything for a $ and was off to a good start! Anything from soups, juice boxes, Lipton sidekicks, gum... then we headed over to Wally's world and got a few more things there and then over to superstore and did the same. Our little storage room is slowly but surely getting stocked and I love it! I know I am a food storage nerd but better safe than sorry I like to say! The last thing I ever want is for my kids to go hungry!! I was glad that I left Brent home cause he is SO fun to take shopping, can you hear the sarcasm!!! When it come to finding deals he is the last person i take. For example, Thursday after he was done work I emailed him a list of things on sale at Walmart that he was to get. 1st of all walmart had taken alot of their sale signs down so instead of asking someone who works there he complains like crazy on the phone to me. Anyways to make a long story short, he did get the majority of the things I had on the list but didn't get a few of them. One day I will have him trained.... here's hoping!!
Today we went in to Costco to get the few things that I didn't get last night {cause it was closed}. Once again didn't get anything really for food storage except 2 bottles of lemon juice. Its kinda fun {I know FS nerd!} to find the sales and make list and organize and buy things you know you will eventually need. I bought my very 1st bag of powdered milk last night.... as most of you know I detest milk or most milk products so the thought of powdered milk is even worse. I will cook and bake with it but to drink it......Yuck! I'm sure I will be very grateful one day to have a supply of powdered milk!
Well I am off to fold laundry while I watch one of my all time favorite shows... The Man from Snowy River!!! Dear Hubby is glues to the tube watching some sports draft! Its the highlight of his day! Blaaaahhhh!!
