Christmas

Christmas is over now and it seems like it came and went fast. We spent Christmas Eve in Raymond at Grandma Norma and Grandpa Bill's house, to which we forgot our camera at home so we are still waiting for pictures to be emailed to us from that. Christmas morning we opened presents here at our house and then went out to Wrentham to visit with my family. After we came back to Magrath to have supper at Brents parents house with his brothers and sisters. The next day we went to Great Falls for the weekend, our present from Brent's mom and dad. We enjoyed a little shopping and the kids loved swimming in the hotel pool. When it came time to come home it was plus 7 degrees and so nice in Great Falls. We watched the temperature drop all the way home. When we got to Shelby it was raining and snowing but the roads were clear so we decided to go thru Cutbank to Delbonita. By the time we got north of Cutbank we couldn't see anything! it was snowing and blowing so bad. Great, just what you need on the way home right! We drove slowly home and after saying countless silent prayers we made it to the boarder. The guard told us that it was nice and clear after we went past the first hill, well it was the opposite, that was where the roads were the worst! It was snowing so hard and sticking to the road that there was half a foot of slush we had to drive thru all the way to Magrath. Well we eventually made it to Magrath and we thought we were home free, no not at all. The roads had not been cleared and it was showing so hard that there was so much snow. We drove around the corner to come home and got stuck! Stuck 100 feet from the house!! To make another long story short we got home after 45 minutes of Brent, his dad and brother in law Robbie and Tyson shoveling us out! I was never so glad to see our drive way!! So all in all it was a very eventful trip.
We got invited to a New Years Eve party at our friends the Doig's. It was really fun and the kids really enjoyed it as well. We had a really great Christmas but we are all sad it's over.
Today I went back to work for the first day since Dec.18th. It was hard to get up by 5:30 to get ready. I had to be there at 6 am but that didn't go according to schedule! I went to start the car, which was parked behind the van, and it wouldn't start! I thought great, now what do I do. So I went in and woke Brent up and we tried for a half hour to get the car our of the driveway or started by boosting it with the van. Nothing worked. Luckily our Friend Cassidy was on her way to work and she dropped me off. Thanks Cassidy!! You are a life saver! Hopefully Tomorrow everything goes alot smoother!! Cross your fingers!
