Last weekend we took the kids to the zoo. They really had lots of fun, especially since they got to see the baby elephant, and baby gorilla. Kaden loved the dinosaurs but his favorite thing to do was point out all the air planes flying over head and screaming"there's another airplane mom!" You would have thought that he had never seen an airplane before. So after the zoo we took the kids to Peter's drive thru and then we went to eat out at our favorite spot by the airport and watched the planes take off and land. Kaden loved that! We also took the kids to Build a Bear. I forgot the camera in the van so I didn't get pictures of them, Oh how I wish I would have. They loved it and Madison had her name picked out even before we got to the mall. She picked a floppy eared bunny and named her cutie pie, Kylie picked out an elephant and named her Lilly, and Kaden (of course) picked out a dinosaur and named him Rex.... I know not too original but for a 2 1/2 year old that was pretty good, his first choice was Carnitor {like the Disney's Dinosaur movie} but then he opted for Rex instead. So now we have a zoo full of build a bears right here at home to join the 2 bears ~ Hunny & Daisy ~ that the girls already had from Grandma Jane at Christmas time. The weather turned nice Saturday thankfully so we could go to the zoo. Friday night as we drove up to Calgary it poured from Fort McLeod to just before Calgary. And when we got to Calgary they must have had alot of hail because the sides of the road looked like snow sitting there. Good thing we missed that!!
