Our road trip to California

Well we are home and wishing we were still in sunny California. We are missing the sun, the 34 degree Celsius weather, the beach, oh the list can go on forever. We started our trip off my driving to Rexburg Idaho to see the new temple. Then we stayed the night in Idaho Falls and also went to see the temple there too. The next morning we got up early and went to Lehi Utah and stayed with Jenn and Gary and the kids had a hoot playing with Cassie and Chase. We left that next morning for Primm Nevada, for those of you who don't know where that is its right on the Nevada/California border- not too far from Vegas on the way to California. There the kids went swimming until they got kicked out of the pool cause it wasn't open yet, just the hot tub. It was 30 degrees Celsius, and the pool was full of water, but it wasn't open yet, go figure. From there we made our way to Anaheim California where our hotel was right beside Disneyland! We arrived there around noon so we went to the hotel and then straight to the beach. The kids had a blast. We were there for 4 hours or more. They collected all kinds of sea shells but some were whole clams and they got left in the van in a bag and got really stinky!!! So they got thrown away. The next day we got up bright and early~ 6am, and got ready and had breakfast and then took the shuttle bus to Disneyland. We got there around 7:40am and there was already a big line up to get in. It didn't open till 8am and was open till midnight! We took tons of pictures and took in everything that day. The next day we spent a t California Adventure. Then the day after that, Wednesday, we went to back to Disneyland to go to the Princess Faire. While we were waiting in line, Brent and Tyson went to get fast passes to some of the rides. Then after we saw Sleeping Beauty, Snow white and Princess Minnie and got their autographs, we went to go on the fast pass rides we had. On the way a guy that works at Disneyland came up to us and told us to go down the side path right beside us. So we did. Thank goodness we listened to him because there we were one of the Year of a Million Dreams winners!!! We won fast passes for all of us for the day to all the fast pass rides at Disneyland and California Adventure!!! That was 14 rides total that we had no time limit to use them and we could go when we wanted. We thought we had dies and gone to heaven!! Every one kept asking where we got those from wondering if they could get them. The next few days we spend at either Disneyland or California Adventure, mine and Kylie's favourite ride was soaring over California!! we went on it 4 times! Brent went on the California Screamin ride, the big roller coaster, and I wasn't brave enough yet to go, so Friday, our last day I finally got enough nerve to go and then not even half way thru it the whole ride stopped!! We were stuck up high, way up high, and had to wait there almost a half hour for someone to come get us all down. Then we had to walk along the railing of this thing and then down stairs to get off, then back behind California Adventure, where only the workers go, then back thru a door to get back into California Adventure. Oh what an experience, not too many time has that happened!! Saturday Brent and Tyson went to an Angels game where Tyson got a foul ball, which made his day!! You would have thought he had gold! Sunday we slept in and then went to San Diego. We went to the Mormon Battalion Museum, to this air craft carrier ship that they just retired and made into a museum. Then Monday we went to Sea World. The kids got to feed the Dolphins and then we got soaked at the dolphin show. So for the remainder of the shows we sat it the high seats so we didn't get wet again. It was a chilly day too, just cause the breeze off the ocean is not too warm. Tuesday we headed back to Primm(Vegas) And Wednesday we went to visit Brent mission comp. Lance Bunch. While with him and his family we saw my cousin Sonia and he kids, they are in the same ward as the Bunch family!! Small world that we live it. It was fun to go to the park and see them and let the kids play together. Thursday we went back to Utah where we stayed with my cousin Jodi and her family. It was so good to see them and the kids had a riot playing together. We spent Friday with them and I got to go shopping at my new favourite store, Tai Pan, and bought some cute thing. Saturday we drove all day to get home and then Sunday we did nothing but unpack and watch conference. It was really nice to be home again!! Even though we are now back to the real world and our everyday life. I guess things could be worse right! So our trip was a safe one and full of memories to be cherished forever!! It was fun to see the kids faces when we got to Disneyland and to see everything and experience it with them. These memories are etched forever in our minds and we will never forget the wonderful times we shared together as a family!!

I will try and add picture later when I get more time, but for now those of you who are on facebook go on there and see them.
