The fun starts!

Well today we started renovating the upstairs bathroom. I tore off the tiles along the one wall so we could see how much damage there is from the window. We have had alot of problems with the window leaking water since we bought the house. Now we thought we would tackle the job and get it done. So today the fun starts. We are going to put up a tub surround, a new tub and new floor, the tile is cracking from the water getting on it by the tub so we are just going to put down lino instead. So much easier to take care of with small kids who love to splash and get water everywhere when its bath time. I hope to put in a new toilet, one that is while and matches the tub. The one we have now is kinda that old pinky color and out tub is cream. The tiles are so outdated too that I hope we can take them off the walls and paint. Any ideas as to what color to paint?? I was thinking a tan color so that it would go with anything. But we will see. So out with the old and in with the new!! I love doing renovations to our house. I would love to flip houses for a living if I had alot of extra $$$$, but I don't. So right now I have to settle for this. But I need to stop with the tearing things apart and wait for Brent to get home and for my dad to come and look and see if any of the boards need to be replaced. I hope not, we are on a limited budget so we have to do things right and find a good deal on everything!! But it will be fun. I took some pictures of right after I tore everything off the wall and will continue to take more as things progress.

See in the pictures the outdated tile with the ugly flowers on them!!The rest of the bathroom has them on aswell.

We have been playing outside today and doing some yard work. But I went to take some pictures of the kiddo's and the camera batteries had died. So maybe later we will take some. Kaden was so cute, he was falling asleep in the baby swing! So there you have it, we will be so busy now with this Extreme Makeover!!hehehe, no its not that big of a job but big enough for right now. But it will be fun, I hope.

Looking at the pix makes me think that it would be invigorating to do some much needed damage. Just take out all your built up anger &/or stress on something like that. I'm sure it would make you feel better and speed up the "riping down" process. hmmm, that kinda sounds fun.
